For the past several months I have been training to run a 10k (6.21 miles) and today was the day! After having James I had to set a goal for myself in order to get myself running again. So this was it. I did the race with two wonderful friends. Heather who I had been training with and Liz my best friend who I used to run with all the time. You would have thought I was having my first day at school last night. I laid out what I was going to wear and then tossed and turned in my sleep anxiously awaiting my alarm going off. Bright an early we were off. We did the Ballantyne YMCA run. Silly me for thinking that it was going to be a flat race. This thing was a roller coaster of hills. But we ran the whole thing and crossed the finish line together. It was such a great feeling crossing the finish line. It was what we had been working towards. I have tried all kinds of sports and exercises and found that running is my thing. It's what I love and it's what my body loves. I can't wait to get the next race on the calendar. Who knows....maybe another half marathon is in my future?!?

Here is Manny and I after the race...can you tell how pooped I am?

Heather and I after the race! Hooray we did it!
Way to go Gray!
