2 Weeks

Today is exactly two weeks until we find out the gender of our sweet little bean! I am so excited I can hgardly stand it. Everyday I change my mind as to what I think it is. Regardless we are praying for a healthy baby! As long as we have that I am good! Either gender will be such a blessing! We had a little bit of a concern this week with me. For the past week or so I have been having pains in my abdomen. I finally figured I would call the doctor. Long story short they had me come in on Monday to check things out. Everything turned out great! Baby is healthy and so am I. She said that this is just my normal. Lucky me that I get to feel my baby grow! :) My belly is really starting to grow though. Everytime I see my mom she just stares at it in disbelief! Ha! I will be posting pics hopefully this weekend!

Video Fun

Thought I would share this video with everyone. It is the night we told my family that I was pregnant. I tricked them and told them that we were going to video tape everyone and send it to my grandparents. I had a shirt on underneath a cardigan that read "I have a pea in my pod" so when I turned to face them they all saw the shirt. It is priceless. So glad that I was able to capture their reactions!

Who ever thought...

Who ever thought that I would long to hear that sweet little sound of a heartbeat as much as I do? Each month that I have to wait to go back to the doctor feels like an eternity to wait to hear that little bump bump. But today....I got to hear it again! Last appointment we were in the 170's and this time we were in the 160's! Each time I leave our appointments I am reminded by God's provision. 6 months ago Manny and I would have never dreamed that this is what life would look like for us, but now I can't imagine it any other way. I am overwhelmed by his goodness and mercy. I hope that when I'm up at 2 in the morning I still remember that! :)
We go back in 4 weeks and get to find out what this little one is. I can't wait to know my baby more deeply and be able to pray for this sweet one by name!

It's Official....We are having a baby!

Nothing like starting off with a bang for my first ever blog post! Manny and I are very excited to annouce that we are expecting a little bundle of joy this September 21st! We are overjoyed and feel extremely blessed that God would entrust us with this little one. This week marks my 13th week. So next week I will be striding into my 2nd trimester! It has been a whirlwind experience so far with only a few bumps in the road!
We decided to keep a blog throughout the pregnancy for friends and family that do not live in Charlotte with us. Thought it would be fun to keep everyone in the loop. We'll see how this goes! Thanks for checking it out! And bring on all the mommy advice! :)
