Busy Busy Busy

So for my lack of posts. Life has been a bit crazy here on our end. Since January we have had lots of things happen. One of which is that we found out that our little guy has to get a Cranial Band. Most of you know what those are. And most of you would refer to them as helmets. Sweet baby James just never loved tummy time and seems to have a softer head in the back. Thus enters in the band. In November our doctor told us to keep an eye on his head and to keep him off the back of his head. So we did that, but it was a little too late. So when we went for his 4 months check up in January they told us it was time to get the band. I waited to post on it till now because it was a bit of an emotional journey for me to go on. As a mom you have a view on what things will look like and this was not apart of what I thought life would look like for James. You think a million things, but mainly struggled with the way people will look at my little guy. After lots of time with the Lord and some really sweet friends encouraging me I am ready to conquer the helmet! :) This is just a part of James' story, it does not define who he is!

We went a week ago for our first consultation at Cranial Technologies and they were wonderful. James did great too. He talked the whole time and just smiled. Helped make it all much easier. The doctor said that he is the perfect candidate for the band. She thinks that he will only need to wear the helmet for 2 months. Which is really not bad at all. We go back this week for the dsi picture of his head. This will help them create a mold of buggy's head to make the band. It takes two weeks to make the band. And then he'll have to wear the band for 2 months. He has to wear the band for 23 hours every day. He can have it off for an hour for bath time.

My plan is to blog about our journey. It's one that I don't want to forget and would love if me writing about this helped any other mom's going through the same thing with their child!

On another note here are some new pictures of my love bug:

4 Months

Oh my goodness do I really have a 4 month old? I can't believe how big my sweet boy is getting. We haven't had his 4 month check up yet. Due to all the bad weather here it was cancelled. So I don't know weight and height. But here are some other things new this month.

- You laugh all the time
- You talk all the time
- You constantly have your hands in your mouth
- Your eyes have stayed blue
- You kick your legs like crazy
- You eat rice cereal for lunch by spoon and then have it in your bottle at night before bed
- You sleep through the night (this is mommies favorite one!)
- You take regular morning and afternoon naps
- You can grab and hold onto your toys
- You are wearing mostly 6 month stuff, but some 9 month stuff

Manny and I are really enjoying all the fun changes that come with each month. This month in particular has been fun. James is so much fun the more and more active he gets. He has the sweetest little smile. Everyone always says he looks like such a kind little boy. I can't wait to see what month 5 brings to us. I fall more in love with this little boy every day and am so grateful to be his Mama.

Ok...so one of my New Year's resolutions is to be a better blogger. That being said I need to catch up from the holidays. This post will just be filled with lots of pictures of all the fun that we had over the holidays. They include: making cookies at Mimi's house, Christmas Day and NYE trip to the Mountains with good friends, plus a few extras of my cutie! ENJOY! Can't believe my little man is going to be 4 months old on Sunday! Time flies when you are having fun!

3 Months

Our little guy turned 3 months old on December 9th! So crazy how fast the time has flown by. He is growing so fast. Some days I want to hit the pause button. But most days I am just enjoying how each day brings something new. A new noise, a new look, new tricks, etc.

Here's some new happenings this month:
-You smile all the time
-You are getting better at Tummy time
-You have gained a ton of weight (we didn't have a wellness appointment this month but mommy can tell you are heavier)
-You coo all the time
-You kick your legs all the time
-So far your eyes have stayed blue
-You now take two schedule naps a day...1 hour in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon (mommy LOVES this)
-We just started you on rice cereal...hoping this will push you to sleep through the night! :)

Can't wait to see what month 4 brings us!

Happy Thanksgiving

Sorry for my lack of blogging lately. We were in between computers, but now we are back in business. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure did. Manny's family came into town to celebrate with us. It was the first time for his Dad and Sister to meet James. Which made the trip all the more special! Here are a few pictures for our week.
